The Executive Director for Research and Institute Collaborations identifies collaborative opportunities for achieving inclusive excellence at Georgia Tech. The Executive Director works with internal and external stakeholders in designing competitive funding proposals directed to local, state, and federal funding agencies, foundations and corporations. The Executive Director for Research and Institute Collaborations is a half-time position reporting to and working closely with the Vice President for Institute Diversity.
- Work in conjunction with the Vice President for Institute Diversity. This position will help identify strategic priorities and opportunities for the Office of Development to match funding opportunities that address the recruitment, retention, and advancement of historically underserved minority and female faculty, staff and students in STEM fields.
- Organize workshops, symposia, town hall meetings and other events (in cooperation with the Office of the Vice President for Institute Diversity and other units at the university and beyond) to support the success of faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate and undergraduate students.
- Work with departments and organizations on campus to support the success of women and underrepresented minority faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate and undergraduate students.
