The 2020 Georgia Tech Diversity Symposium, Understanding Accessibility as Inclusion: Georgia Tech's Pathway to Accessibility, was hosted on September 9 to highlight members of the Tech community who are paving the way for an accessible and inclusive campus.

The event featured guest speaker Haben Girma. The first deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School, Girma advocates for equal opportunities for persons with disabilities and travels the world teaching the benefits of purposeful inclusion. The day also included panels featuring faculty, staff, and student voices and Georgia Tech accessibility-centered research and IT accessibility policies. The event concluded by recognizing the 2020 Diversity Champion Awards and Faces of Inclusive Excellence honorees.
